Vegetarian Bolognese Spaghetti For the last few months, I have made a really conscious effort to eat less meat and incorporate more vegetables into main dishes.   9. It's 2 tbsp of Basil leaves.
  10. Prepare 1/4 tsp of Dry thyme.
  11. Prepare As per taste of Black pepper powder.
  12. You need To taste of Salt.
  13. Prepare 400 gm of Spaghetti.
  14. Prepare 2 Tbsp of Parmesan cheese.

This vegetarian spaghetti bolognese is a great alternative when you don't want to use meat. The haloumi adds a nice twist and really ups the yum factor! Make it meaty (but still meatless!) The mushrooms in this Vegetarian Bolognese give it an earthy taste with a chunky and chewy texture. While the mushrooms are in no way considered meat, they do give the dish the meaty texture and fullness of traditional Bolognese.

Vegetarian Bolognese Spaghetti step by step

  1. Add water to a pan and boil..
  2. Add spaghetti pasta, olive oil and salt to boiled water..
  3. Cook it for about 10 minutes..
  4. After 10 minutes,drain out spaghetti and take it out of cold water..
  5. Put 1 Tsp of Olive oil on spaghetti and mix well..
  6. Soak soya granules in hot water for 10 -15 minutes..
  7. After 15 minutes, filter soya granules and squeeze all the water..
  8. Heat oil over medium flame in a pan..
  9. Cook till the onion turns golden..
  10. Put chopped carrots and cook for 2-3 minutes..
  11. Now add chopped tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes or until tomatoes are cooked..
  12. Add tomato puree and mix well..
  13. Mix boiled soya granules, basil, thyme, salt, pepper powder and mix well..
  14. Place cooked spaghetti in a serving plate..
  15. Put the prepared sauce on Spaghetti..
  16. Serve with the parmesan cheese and basil leaves..

Bolognese sauce is a classic family favorite dish. Today I'm sharing a delicious alternative to the traditional bolognese sauce - vegetarian bolognese sauce! As a vegetarian (and just a carb lover in general), pasta is one of my favorite meals. It's a great way to get lots of veggies, pasta, and protein for a well rounded meal. A vegetarian pasta sauce which I hope will appeal to vegetarians, and to those committed to having at least some meat-free meals.
